AMPT Joins Forces with Housatonic to Facilitate Science Communication for Materials Deep Tech Innovation

The PUZZLE X 2021 Event Nov 16-18 in Barcelona will be the first collaborative initiative between the two organizations to visually document the knowledge shared during the 3-day panels and talks in real time
February 10, 2022

Advanced Material Future Preparedness Taskforce (AMPT), an international think tank and association on Frontier Materials is committed to reinventing the way science is communicated between academia and industry. To that end, AMPT has formed a strategic partnership with Housatonic, a creative studio based in Bologna (Italy) to facilitate ideas, strategy and communication in the Frontier Materials science. By bridging the gap between fundamental research and application, the partnership will help expedite applied materials science knowledge transfer into impactful technology for a more sustainable and prosperous world. The first collaborative project will take place at the PUZZLE X event, 16-18 November in Barcelona, to feature real time graphic facilitation of key concepts and connections emerging during keynote and panel discussions.

The PUZZLE X™ initiative is a vibrant global event + a 365-day Deep Tech venture builder dedicated to enabling materials of the future to help our world today. At the leading-edge of science and technology, it is an interception point and a collision ground for science, business, venture and societal impact. It brings Frontier Materials to the forefront to aid the Sustainable Development Goals set out by the United Nations by 2030.

Housatonic is a creative agency that integrates research, design and creative services to communicate technical and complex ideas in an innovative way. Housatonic is committed to using design to communicate, engage and shape understanding while fostering collaboration and impact across different industry sectors. An illustrated knowledge wall will be created over the three-day event summarising key insights on how Frontier Materials innovation can enable a more sustainable planet.

Dr. Zina Jarrahi Cinker, Director General of AMPT, said: "The real time graphic facilitation will help us design innovation roadmaps based on ideas and connections emerging at PUZZLE X from world class Frontier Materials thought leadership.”

Alfredo Carlo, Designer and Graphic Facilitator at Housatonic, says that: “Housatonic are excited to support initiatives that address some of humanity’s greatest challenges. This dynamic partnership shows the complementary nature between science and design, and will capture thought leadership in a timeless way.”
